My de-influencing era. (Kidding, sort of)
Being a real Nantucket photographer, to me, isn’t about having the biggest following or the fanciest camera. Dressing up to look like a part. Yes, I’ve been fortunate to be able to live here for so many years. Grateful for that.
The Nantucket I love isn’t always picture perfect. Some days are rough, some days are stormy. Yet, I still find the beauty in everyday island life.
That’s the island I know and love.
I choose stories over trends.
Presence that has meaning over performance.
Photography over popularity.
I’m just doing me. As I’ve always done. Choosing authenticity over perfection. I sleep better knowing that.
To some, I’m just a down to earth person who might dress up on occasion. Some days, I’ll be in my everyday comfort clothing. That’s the real me. Outdoorsy kind of guy. Pretty sure, STUBBYS has seen me at my worst at 5:30am 🤣
I want to be remembered as someone who honestly documented a place they loved.
And that’s more than enough for me.
