Back at it! I’ve been walking, just not recording or posting. Since I’m off today, I didn’t head out until after it was already light outside.

The lower humidity made a huge difference and made my walk much more enjoyable. There were reports of a bear on my usual walking route, so I switched things up and took a different path.

Still managed to get 4 miles in and enjoy a beautiful morning. Sometimes a change of route is all part of the adventure! -Florida Mattress Wife🛏️ #50

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t getting the miles in — it’s getting back into the routine after time off and still showing up when work drains your energy.

Yesterday gave me the chance to get in 5 miles while I was off, and today it was back to reality with my first day back after 6 days away from work. Still managed 3.3 miles before heading in, even knowing it was going to be a long day. Definitely feeling tired tonight, but only 2 more work days until I’m off again and can recharge a little.

Not every workout has to be perfect to count. Consistency is what keeps the progress moving.

Didn’t get all my steps in yesterday so I knew I needed to step it up today. Got in 5 miles and over 11,000 steps before 10am and still made time to stop for coffee with my mom and catch up for a bit.

Now it’s time for a well-earned pool day and some rest after all the running around this week. Balance looks a little different at 50, but I’m learning that rest matters too.

Out last night finally celebrating my 50th, so waking up this morning was definitely a struggle. 😅

Had to keep it quick today, but I still got 3 miles in under an hour and finished with 7,200 steps. Not as many as most of my days off, but I’ll take it. Progress doesn’t have to be perfect to count.

Looking forward to time with family tonight and tomorrow and hopefully making up some of those missing steps along the way. 💕

Up early so I started on the treadmill before the sun came up. I already had 2,700 steps and a mile done before heading outside. Finished the morning with over 10,000 steps, 4.5 miles, and 1 hour 30 minutes of movement before most people even started their day. Consistency is becoming the routine.

4 miles done before most people even started their Monday. Short work week, early miles, and momentum already rolling. Just two work days to get through before more time for yourself.

The early alarms aren’t always fun, but starting the week this way sets the tone. Keep stacking those walks, those steps, and those choices. They add up faster than people realize.

Rough nights happen, but you still got 4.3 miles in before most people even started their day. The heat is no joke this time of year, so knowing when to call it is smart, not lazy. Cool down, handle the adulting, and count this one as a win anyway. ☀️👟💦
