Little Big Town is back with It’s A Dying Art, the Grammy-winning group’s first studio album since 2022’s Mr. Sun. Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook say they entered the studio determined to remove creative boundaries and reconnect with the sounds, harmonies and musical influences that originally brought them together. Rather than chasing a specific radio formula, the group focused on creativity, nostalgia and songs they genuinely loved singing. More than 25 years into their career, Little Big Town remains one of country music’s most distinctive vocal groups, and the new album represents another evolution of their signature four-part harmony sound.

Lainey Wilson is adding another acting credit to her résumé with a guest appearance on Season 2 of Netflix’s hit sitcom Leanne. Wilson appears in Episode 9 as Jessie, the cousin of comedian Leanne Morgan’s title character. Jessie arrives at Leanne’s house following a breakup, giving the two characters a chance to bond over major changes in their lives. The appearance puts Wilson alongside series stars Leanne Morgan, Kristen Johnston and Ryan Stiles and continues her expansion beyond country music. Wilson previously appeared on Yellowstone, and all 10 episodes of Leanne’s second season are now available on Netflix.

The Taylor Sheridan drama features a soundtrack loaded with country and Americana artists including George Strait, Lainey Wilson, Parker McCollum, Ella Langley, Zach Bryan, Gavin Adcock, Flatland Cavalry and Tyler Childers. Landman’s award highlights how modern television is helping expose millions of viewers to both established country stars and emerging artists. New season begins in November on Paramount+

CONGRATULATIONS Parker McCollum and his wife Hallie Ray on the birth of their second child! Understandably, he has postponed upcoming concerts in Omaha and Kansas City so he can be home with his growing family. McCollum told fans that family comes first and said he did not want to risk missing the arrival of the newest member of the McCollum family. The Omaha concert has been moved to September 10, while the Kansas City show will now take place September 12. Previously purchased tickets will remain valid. Parker and Hallie Ray welcomed their first son, Major, in August 2024.
