March 1, 2023 - First day of Women's History Month - I honor myself. Air Force Veteran JD Michaux M.Ed, BS, SLPA is an Entrepreneur Practitioner with a Bachelors Degree in Health Science with a concentration in Communication Science and Speech Disorders, a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and is a Doctoral Candidate for a Doctorate in Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment. She is a licensed SLPA and does accent modification across 42 languages. A lifelong entrepreneur she owns Ms. June's Gumbo N' Greens, SLIPS Digest Magazine, Maggie Allen Candy, Chaux Consulting, Better English in 60 Days and has a trademark on the "Check for Baby Sign" that addresses the public health concern of babies dying in hot cars. She is the producer of the "Doing the Do" in Business with Ms. June Podcast that airs on I-Heart Radio, Apple, Amazon Music and 8 other podcasts. She is also the producer and host of "Let's Talk" TV Show that airs on Xfinity in her market. Her recent accomplishments include the 2020 Entrepreneur of the Year of the Southeastern Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Alpha Delta Omega), a 2022 Athena Award Nominee and a participant in the 2023 Black History Month Diversity and Inclusion program for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Her firm, Chaux Consulting also assisted with the Development of the two historical Tennessee Tribune Stores being placed at BNA airport with over 40 diverse minority suppliers receiving product placement amongst national brands. She is an avid reader (100 books a year), enjoys being with family and friends, doing public speaking, cooking exotic dishes, and living life to the fullest. She is a member of the Nashville Chapter of Les, Gemmes, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. an Alumni of the Grammy Award Winning HBCU Tennessee State University and will release her first cookbook titled "The Sensational Cookbook" in April 2023.
