There’s a quiet kind of privilege in being present — not just physically, but emotionally.

In slowing down enough to hear the full story about a toy car.
In being there for the small, ordinary moments that often mean the most.
In trading distractions for eye contact.
Noise for presence.

It’s not always easy — life pulls in every direction. But presence doesn’t require perfection. Just attention. Just effort.

The gift of showing up, again and again, is one of the greatest joys and responsibilities of fatherhood. And every time I choose to be there, I’m reminded — I get to do this.
