As I am sure you are all aware, mountain communities along the eastern Tennessee and especially North Carolina Western border were hit with historically brutal rainfall and devastating flooding before this past weekend (see that purple and white little blob on the map- that’s nearly 3-4 months of rain in a couple days).

There is always uncertainty and confusion in the immediate aftermath of such a massive, natural disaster, and people often wonder the best way to help. PLEASE click our bio link, there is an article from Nashville’s public radio station, scroll to the end and you will see excellent resources you can put funds toward. It is still too early to hop in your truck with your chainsaws and get to work. As you can see in one of the photos eastbound interstate 40 is literally in the Pigeon River Gorge. The majority of mountain roads on all sides are impassible. This is going to take a long time to clean up and rebuild, and giving now ensures a strong start and impact on the long-term. I recommend donating to one of the top two organizations on the list in our link.

When emergency management and rescue give the all clear for hands-on help, we will be sure to post additional information.

And to any friends in East Tennessee and western North Carolina reading this, hang tough and keep your head up. You will build back stronger and your neighbors have your back.

As far as we’re concerned, he broke the mold. Wishing this man’s family all the love and peace he’s given listeners, and fellow songwriters/musicians over the years. Deeply saddened to hear of the humbly great Kris Kristofferson’s passing. He was a truth teller- about our world and matters of the heart. Sail on, sailor. We will never stop loving the words and music you’ve blessed us with. We love you❤️

On a personal note, Kris made a huge impression on our label’s founder, during his time working at the House of Cash in Hendersonville in the 70s. Kris was always supportive, unpretentious, and kind. A++ class, through and through.
