We are deeply saddened by the passing of Raul Malo. His voice, spirit, and artistry left a mark on everyone who had the privilege of working with him or hearing his music. As The Mavericks shared, “Raul’s spirit will live on forever in heaven, and here on earth through the music, joy, and light he brought forth.”

Raul spent meaningful time creating and recording at Blackbird, and we are grateful for every moment he shared within these walls. His talent and warmth were unmistakable, and his legacy will continue to inspire artists for generations to come.

We send our heartfelt condolences to his family, The Mavericks, and all who loved him.
