Nobody tells you how good it feels to stop waiting on someone to recognize your worth. You just wake up one day and realize you have been sitting in a waiting room for a person who was never going to call your name. And you get up. Grab your things. Walk out. Not angry. Not bitter. Just finally done letting someone else’s inability to see you determine how you see yourself. That was the shift. And once it happened I never looked back.
