Btw, I will also not be on X-Posure today as I am headed to Brooklyn to say a final goodbye to Kikagaku Moyo / 幾何学模様 before they go on an indefinite hiatus. The timing was not planned but I must also tell you that I have decided to take a hiatus from doing my radio show for the new Fall scheduling period at WXNA, which begins next week. It’s been an absolutely wonderful experience and a joy to do my show each week. I will definitely miss it. But I do hope to sub as much as I can and return to the airwaves in the future. Rock on!

Can have announced the release of a new live album, Can Live in Cuxhaven 1976, which will be out on October 14. It is the third release in an ongoing series of live album releases from the iconic German rock band.
Very excited to be chatting with Naima Bock on WXNA on this week's X-Posure. You may remember her as Naima Jelly, bass player from the group Goat Girl. I saw them on their first US tour in 2018 with Parquet Courts at The Basement East, and then in London at a festival playing on the same stage as Hawkwind.
Well, Naima parted with the girls back in 2019. "In the years between leaving Goat Girl and her solo project, she worked as a gardener and started a degree in archaeology at University College London. Though she was still writing songs during that time – in addition to joining the folk collective Broadside Hacks – she wasn’t planning on assembling them into an album until she met Joel Burton, her close collaborator on Giant Palm, which was recorded in the studio of Speedy Wunderground’s Dan Carey and features over 30 musicians."
Now signed to Sub Pop, she has released a transcendent debut solo album. It is an eclectic and expansive blend of styles and sounds. Perfect for escaping this oppressive summer heat. 'Giant Palm' floats through Wonderland and finds the calm in the chaos.
