Lethal Linda Neal: A Life Steeped in Music, Talent, and Legacy
When it comes to living and breathing music, few people embody that passion as completely as Lethal Linda Neal. Born into a family with deep roots in American music history, Linda’s journey has been a vibrant blend of heritage, raw talent, and hard-earned success.
Linda’s father, Renegade Watson, was a celebrated guitarist, while her uncle, Bobby Muns, played with the legendary Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Her grandfather, Frank Muns, remains a towering figure in Oklahoma’s music lore — holding the title of Oklahoma State Fiddle Champion for an incredible 17 consecutive years. Frank’s career saw him perform alongside icons like Bob Wills, Kitty Wells, Buck Owens, and Merle Haggard.
Music runs even deeper in Linda’s bloodline — her cousin penned the country classic "Satin Sheets", and she’s related to acclaimed gospel singer Gene Watson and country star Aaron Watson. With such a pedigree, it’s no surprise Linda’s life would be shaped by the stage.
From a young age, Linda immersed herself in anything and everything music-related. In school, she was a fixture in choir, speech, drama, and stage productions. She plays guitar, piano/keys, and harmonica, and is fluent in reading sheet music. She has even performed on the same stage as Star Search winner Kata Huddleston — an experience that further fueled her love for live performance. Her talent was matched by academic achievement — Linda graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2005 with a degree in Business and Marketing, specializing in the music industry.
Her professional career reads like a highlight reel of the music world. At one point, she even held an endorsement with Serengeti Guitars. Linda ran her own music promotion and booking company, representing acts like Grimmdawg, DJ Deuce 5 Savvy, and Jason Keidler. She also worked with Strange Music in promotions before stepping back to focus on her marriage.
Linda’s resume includes powerhouse names in the industry — she worked for M3DJs and Platinum Producers under Jiv POS and Greg Speed Brown, booking high-end dance parties and collaborating with top-tier DJs like Bobby Rude and Marymack. At HiVolMusic, she promoted bands like Every Mother’s Nightmare (EMN) and New Machine, as well as artists like Ryche Green. Her promotional work also extended to Color of Chaos, Lola Montez, Outlaws and Moonshine, Joel Ellis (Cats N Boots, Heavy Bones), The Joe Davis Band, and numerous others.
Beyond the stage lights, Linda has made her mark as a writer for Livewire Magazine and contributor to the Bay Ragni Show. She’s also a published poet, winning awards for her work, and she is listed in Cambridge’s Who’s Who Amongst Executives and Leading Females — a testament to her influence both in and beyond the music industry.
Today, Lethal Linda Neal stands as a living bridge between music’s storied past and its ever-evolving present. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or in print, she has built a career — and a legacy — that keeps the rhythm of her family’s musical heritage alive for future generations.
