đŸ”„ Leftover Turkey Shepherd’s Pie
 but make it smoked.

This might be one of the best “day-after” dishes I’ve ever made. I used leftover turkey shepherd’s pie recipe (highly recommend 👌), but had a little plot twist

My oven element died and I was out of gas for the grill. So why not fire up the offset smoker? 😅

I opened the vents wide to keep the smoke light and clean, then brought the smoker up to about 375°F. The whole dish cooked beautifully in there, and even picked up a little natural toast once the heat crept up near 425°F. Finished it under the broiler for that perfect golden crust.

The result?
✹ Creamy Swiss mashed potatoes
✹ Savory turkey + mushroom + veggie filling
✹ Fresh herbs, a silky sauce, and that subtle smoked kiss

Absolutely unreal.

If you’ve got holiday leftovers, this is the move.

I made some adjustments to proportions of potatoes, turkey, and carrots; and used a regular fork to make the ridges.

My secret:đŸ€« I finish in the oven.

Most of the smoke flavor comes during the bark formation and after you wrap, you aren’t going to add a ton of smoke flavor at that point. Don’t make smoking harder than it needs to be!
