A year ago we woke up to shocking images of devastation from overnight tornadoes ripping through a 50 mile swath of middle Tennessee. Soon our phones started ringing and days of network news coverage followed. No still photos from ground level could capture the destruction or heartache left in the storms’ path. It was great to see so many people pull together to clean up, raise money and recover. #NashvilleStrong #tornadoes #resilience
Some of it was virtual, some of it was in person, but all of it was wonderful working with Dollar General’s African American Resource Group to produce its Black History Month celebration. Usually an in-person gala, this year it was a nearly one hour show featuring the world famous Fisk Jubilee Singers, shot in a socially distant way with robotic cameras. Actor Hill Harper of ABC’s The Good Doctor, delivered the keynote address we recorded through Zoom, with our F-5 recording as a back up. Proud of the finished product and the entire team who helped make this virtual event reality!
