August recap 🌻 There were highs and lows in August, and while not everything went how we had planned or would’ve liked, there was obviously still a lot of beauty in it☀️

7. Lots of walks - will terribly miss these come winter ☀️
8. Fresh Colorado peaches on the river 🍑 (hoping we get our own in the next few years!)
9. Projects, projects, & more projects haha
10. Peach pie filling 🥧
11. Dancing carrots 🥕
12. Sweet corn ice cream 🌽 (recipe on YouTube)
13. First year growing gladiolus flowers 💐
14. Sourdough bagels to take on VACATION 🥯

If you made it this far, I hope August treated you well 🫶

Well, the time has come to take a step back for awhile from baking for you all. We have a few things going on in September, about to be drowning in garden produce, and if things go as planned, we may be adding a couple animals that will just take more of my time. So for the foreseeable future, this will be my last bread drop! So if you want to grab a few extra loaves or packs of cookies to last you longer, now is the time 😊 Here is this week’s menu:

Classic Artisan
Smoked Gouda & Green Chile
Red, White & Blue
Chocolate Chip Cookies

We’re grateful for each of you that has bought goodies from us in the past, and we’re excited to bake for you once more this week ❤️ Order goes live at 11 this morning, and ends Sunday at 6pm!

Spring Scenes 🌺 ☀️

My girls are getting bigger, garden is very slowly being planted, our meat chicks are halfway grown, orchard is green and vibrant, kitchen is bustling with a mess always needing cleaned, all while I’m dreaming of planting enough beautiful flowers soon to fill it with later this summer. Trying to find the balance between slowing down in the busyness and trying to figure out what to take off our plates, while also enjoying everything we “get” to do and practicing thankfulness for the blessings of full long tiring days.

My posting here has very obviously taken a back burner in this season of life (like for awhile now haha) and truthfully, it’s been wonderful and probably won’t be changing anytime soon. However, if you’ve been missing more behind the scenes of our baking & homesteading adventures, I’ve been spending more time over on YouTube and I’d love if you wanted to follow along there 🫶

Anyhoos, do you have your garden planted?? Anyone else planting flowers this year? I’d love to hear what you have planted! I have snapdragons, dahlias, gladiolus waiting to be put in and I just can’t wait for summer bouquets to be in the house (hopefully lol)🌺 🤩

Alright friends, how does a bread drop sound?? After a nice long break after knee surgery, we’re gonna see if we can balance baking bread again for you all 😎 So here’s the scoop and a couple changes:

🥖 Menu opens tomorrow (Saturday) at 11am and closes Sunday at 6pm. Everything Bagel, Red, White & Blue, & Regular sourdough bread, and our favorite chocolate chip cookies are on it for our first week back! Bread Pickup will be on Thursday still.
🥖 My plan is to offer bread every OTHER week, rather than every week like before and offer a pickup time in BOTH Pleasanton (4-4:45pm)and Ravenna(5:15-6pm) each drop. If you typically ordered every week, our bread and cookies freeze wonderfully to get you through the gap. As far as pickup times go, I’m open to feedback as to what works best for you guys and will adjust if possible. 😊
🥖 I will be switching to bread bags that are a little more suited to the loaf shape.
🥖 Lastly, if you made it through all this, I will be randomly picking someone who orders this week to gift a 6 pack of cookies to as a thanks for sticking with us through this baking hiatus! 🫶 Can’t wait to see you at pickups again!

Here is the link to my website to order and if you’re not already signed up for notifications, you can sign up so you don’t miss when the menu opens!

Happy Easter friends! What a beautiful day to celebrate the unimaginable sacrifice Jesus made for us. Hope you all had a blessed day 🤍

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3

Late February scenes ✨ I know it’s not spring yet, buuut it feels like it’s coming soon ☀️ it seems we’ve made it past the dead of winter (sorry if I jinx us), but we’re still in that lull period before everything starts to get busy with planting the garden, chicks, and all the things that come with warm weather and more daylight. It’s a sweet time where we get to feel giddy in the planning stages of planting new exciting things (fruit trees, grapes, cut flowers anyone??) without all the work that eventually comes with it. So while I’m eagerly anticipating spring, for now I’ll be reminding myself to enjoy these slower, shorter days because I know how long it will be before they’re back again. Plus, I already ordered more fruit trees & other perennials, so I only have until early April before those ship and meat chicks arrive and things get crazier 😂 How’s everyone else feeling?? Can you hardly wait for spring or are you soaking in the last bits of winter??

Hey all! Figured it’s about time to give a little bread update 🥖 originally I thought I’d get back to baking for others within a couple weeks of walking again (I’ve now been walking about 1 1/2 weeks) but what I forgot about is how slow walking is at first and how everything takes 3x as long to get done. Honestly, I’m just barely able to keep up with the girls and all things home, let alone bake a bunch of bread, load everything and everyone up, and make it to a pickup on time 😅 So until I feel like I can manage both more easily, my focus will stay on my family, but I hope to be back to baking for you all “soon”. Thanks for your patience and understanding 💛
