Back for another beautiful morning in the deer blind. Hope we have a little more movement this morning. Has been an odd season so far. Between the three of us, we've had 2 shots and two misses. Not normal for us to not have at least one deer down opening weekend. The weather isnt helping much. The deer just aren't moving like they should be. Not too mention, the ones we see are acting wierd. Oh well, just keep on grinding I guess.

Anyone got recipes for these fluffy looking white deer? Do you just cook them like regular deer meat? Honestly, they're kind of small. Probably not worth the time.

Health update.

Had a CT scan a couple weeks ago. Everything's still looking good. Largest tumor is less than 1.6cm now. I'll have more information when I speak to my specialist on Friday. Side effects have been pretty good. Have had a few patches of skin, lower back and inside my elbow mostly, that have flared up a bit, but nothing a little 5% hydrocortisone couldn't help with.

Haven't been on much due to being busy. Now that im jist sitting in the deer blind waiting for a deer to walk by, i got a little time. Lol

What's with this thing? Anyone know? I'll just keep using my regular . Lol

Beautiful day in the woods. Only seen one deer so far. Wish it was colder so they would be moving more.

9 years ago today I married the woman who keeps me going. The last couple years have been an emotional roller coaster for us. She's had two surgeries to help with her back, I've had a heart attack, surgery and of course I'm coming up on my 20th month of cancer treatments. But no matter what, I know she's there for me and I wouldn't want anyone else by my side during all of this. Life throws you curveballs, but if you have someone who loves you by your side, you can make it through anything.

Well, it's that time of year again. Back in the deer blind. Let's hope i can put some meat in the freezer. Maybe get a trophy to hang on the wall if I'm lucky.
