Finally, it's a boat day!! Got a day off, weather is perfect. We even got up early. Lol

Don't worry, going to a small semi local lake that doesn't allow pleasure boats, skiing, swimming, or camping. It's just for fishing boats. So we won't have to worry about people celebrating the 4th while we fish.

Morning everyone. I want to use my post today to wish my wonderful wife a happy birthday. We've had one hell of a past year and a half. It started with my cancer diagnosis in February of 2024. I've been on chemo treatments ever since then. During that time she's had to have a fusion surgery on her neck and then had a spinal stimulator put in her back to help with the pain she's been dealing with for years. Through all that she has helped me through the roller coaster that is chemotherapy. The days I just feel drained. The side effect my skin just being sore and raw. The foggy headedness that, combined with neuropathy in my feet, makes me wobbly and feeling like I'm going to just fall over. Through it all she's been there helping me. I can't imagine going through this without her at my side. I am truly blessed to have a wife like her beside me.

Not only is she part of my journey, she is also one of the joys I have found during my journey.

Morning everyone. Got some running around town do today. Trip to the dmv and sheriff's office mostly. Not too bad, but might take a little bit. Gonna try and get the boat outbon the water tomorrow. As long as the weather doesn't do anything stupid.

Morning everyone. Been busy thevlast couple weeks and forgot to post. Everything's going good here. Got our new floor put in. Still got trim work to do, just haven't had time or energy to get it done yet. Will have it done soon. Gotta work on the w**d eater here in a bit before it gets hot out. Hopefully thats not too much of a pain.

Got the boat uncovered and cleaned up. Hope to get it to the water next weekend.

This is one of the hard parts of dealing with cancer er treatment. Sure, the side effects can suck. But nobody thinks about the people you meet during treatment. When youre sitting there getting treatment for 4 or 5 hours you end up talking to those next to you. When you are on the same treatments, youre gonna be scheduled on the same day. So, you see them each time your in There and can form a friendship. You might not talk outside of treatment, but you notice when they miss treatment. Me and him had a similar diagnosis. His was a different mutation than mine and was much more aggressive. He fought for 4 years.

Morning all. Been a good day so far. Got the mowing done. Found a deer shed that got washed into our fence by the flooding last week. Now I'm waiting to get my chemo pump removed. Gonna get some groceries then head home and relax before grilling up some drumsticks.

Tomorrow is the day!!
Its the day of our ribbon cutting ceremony with the Chamber of Commerce!

Because of the festivities, we will not be taking consignments tomorrow, June 10th.

We will be back to normal operations on Wednesday!

Morning everyone. It's chemo day since my new insurance finally approved it. Good news, my magnesium was 1.2, that means i only need 2 iv bags of magnesium. That's way better than 4. Since each bag od magnesium takes an hour. Lol

I've already had my premeds and doing my first bag of magnesium. Second bag will run during the second chemo bag.

Maybe I'll take a nap during this process. Granddaughter has a softball game this evening. Looking forward to that.

Morning everyone. It's not noon here yet, so I can still say that. Lol

Looks like the sun is trying to come out. Been a dreary day so far. I did go out for a short drive and looked at the river. Waters up a little bit, but not too bad. Maybe I'll make it out to do some fishing here soon.

Finally heard from the cancer center. New insurance has approved my chemotherapy treatments. Im sure they will love to get that first bill. Lol. At least I know I'll hit my max put of pocket after the first infusion. It's crazy how much chemo costs. Kind of curious what will happen when I can get medicare next year.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great day. Just 2 more days until the weekend.
