Well this sucks. Guess im gonna be taking a chemo break for a bit. I was considering a break just to give my body and brain a break after 27 months. But, seems im having a reaction called SDRIFE. So, most likely that choice has been made for me. Could be worse I guess. At least my skin will have a chance to get back to normal and maybe ill get a few weeks without the brain fog and lack of energy.

I had reached a point where I was functional for a few days, usually chemo day and the 2 after it. Then mostly functional for a few days. Then half functional at best for the other 9 days. It was starting to bother me quite a bit.

Still waiting on biopsy and swab results to make sure thats what it really is, but my dermatologist seemed pretty convinced. He just wanted the extra tests to make sure.

Who knows, maybe if I feel better for a little while I can actually get some content going on this page. Lol

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well. Its been hot here, so try to stay cool and hydrated everyone.

Today I want to say happy birthday to my wonderful wife, Christie Martin . These years would have been much worse without her by my side. I know I drive her nuts at times, just like she does me at times lol. But, I wouldnt want to spend these years with anyone else.

The most annoying part of having a chronic illness like cancer isnt really the Healthcare system or even the chemo side effects. The most annoying part is changing insurance companies. We just changed our insurance because my wifes company switched to a self pay system with a third party managing it.

Because of this, we are paying just as much, but they dont pay as much. Its stupid. I also wasn't able to talk to my specialist at KU because they have telehealth excluded. So, I maxe an in-person appointment, because its cheaper to drive up to Kansas city than it is to pay for the teleheath appointment. Of course, thats if they will pay for an in person appointment. Not sure because KU says we dont have "real insurance" and the third party management people were supposed to call them last week and then call me back. All I got was a text with no answers.

Oh well, guess I try texting them and see if they ever figured it out. They really aren't the brightest people. Maybe once I can switch to Medicare in August I won't have to deal with this anymore.

So, we did a thing last week. 2025 nissan kicks. Only had 36 miles on it. Kind of miss the trailblazer, it was easy to spot in a parking lot if you forgot where you parked lol. But, it was starting to have issues and the warranty had run out. Those issues on newer cars can be pretty pricey. So, we welcomed a new car into our lives. This one has a good warranty and payments are cheaper. So, we save money each month and are getting better gas mileage. Even took it on its first trip to the races in tulsa last weekend.
