If you're traveling to or from the northeast into southwest Missouri/southeast Kansas this weekend, plan for possible travel impacts! Cold rain is expected all day Saturday, with periods of mixed precipitation during overnight hours Friday night and Saturday night. Since the ground is still warm, areas that see snow will see little to no accumulations.

Happy Thanksgiving! It will be a cold but dry day with sunshine and light winds. High temps will reach the 40s however temps will drop quickly this evening.

Widespread precipitation returns to the region late Friday into Saturday. While rain is favored across southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas, wintry driving conditions due to snow will be possible across portions of northeast Missouri and Illinois on Saturday.

Patchy drizzle and fog will linger into this morning. Temperatures drop slightly below normal tonight through the weekend. More widespread precipitation is expected to begin Friday with the possibility for a wintery mix.

There may be some snow showers this weekend, especially across northeastern Missouri but a lot of questions remain

Rain chances will continue through tonight. Some isolated showers may then linger during the day Tuesday. Afterwards, mild temperatures in the 50s and 60s will cool into the 40s in time for Thanksgiving.

Showers overspread the area late tonight into Monday. Rain chances (60-90%) are highest Monday morning through the evening, before tapering off overnight Monday. Rainfall amounts are forecast to be highest across far southern MO. No flooding is expected.

Areas of fog and clouds through this morning, before gradually scattering of clouds later today. Drier through most of the weekend, before rain chances return Sunday night into Monday. Seasonable temperatures before cooler weather moves in mid next week.

Below average temperatures and above average rainfall is possible next week across the area

There is a signal for below normal temperatures and above normal precipitation for Thanksgiving Weekend. Normal highs are in the upper 40s to lower 50s, so there is a 40% chance for seeing temperatures below that range after Thanksgiving. On the same token, normal precipitation ranges from a half an inch to one inch. There is a 50% chance of exceeding that range going into early December.
