It’s officially been a week since the pageant, and somehow my heart feels even more full now than it did that night. Looking back, I realize this journey was never just about one day or one moment. It was about every experience, every lesson, every laugh, every nervous moment, and every person who became a part of my story along the way. I will forever be thankful for the memories this journey gave me and for the incredible friendships that came from it.
The friendships I made throughout this experience are something I will cherish more than I could ever explain. There is something so special about going through a journey with girls who understand the excitement, the nerves, the hard work, and all the emotions that come with it. I truly hope these friendships continue far beyond the pageant because these girls have become such a meaningful part of my life.
I also want to give a huge thank you to the River Days Pageant Committee for everything they did throughout this entire journey. From the little details to the big moments, the time, effort, love, and dedication you put into making this experience so special will never go unnoticed. You gave us so many opportunities to make memories, grow, and experience things we may never have gotten to experience otherwise. All of the adventures along the way are memories I will hold onto forever.
I also need to give the biggest thank you to my family. To everyone who supported me, showed up for me, encouraged me, prayed for me, helped behind the scenes, and believed in me even when I doubted myself, thank you will never be enough. And to the people in my life who may not be family by blood but have become family in every way that matters, please know that you have helped me more than you will ever know. Your love, support, time, and encouragement have meant more to me than I could ever put into words.
And especially to my pageant mom Holly and my mom, there truly aren’t enough words to thank you both. I don’t know what I would have done without you. You have been there through every step, every detail, every emotion, and every moment of this journey. You believed in this dream with me and helped make it something I will treasure forever. I am so incredibly blessed to have you both in my corner.
A week later, I’m realizing that the greatest part of this experience wasn’t just the pageant itself. It was the people, the memories, the friendships, the adventures, and the love that surrounded me throughout the entire journey. I will forever be grateful that I got to experience this chapter of my life, and I will carry the people and memories from it with me wherever I go.
Most importantly, thank you to my school and my community for giving me the incredible opportunity to represent you. It has been such an honor to carry the name of Glenwood with me and to represent the people and community that mean so much to me. I hope I made you proud and showed just how much I love the place I call home. Thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and allowing me to represent you throughout this unforgettable year.
