Lugene Pezzuto's New Castle News Page Lugene Pezzuto started with The News in 1996 and retired in 2019 but from time to time, still writes occasional pieces. She was a 2002 Golden Quill finalist.

Lugene Pezzuto is retired as a reporter for the New Castle News, which is the leader in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania for news, features, photos and multimedia coverage. She has done general assignment news and feature stories including the health and educational arenas, been a part of the Rapid Response Team, had a weekly column called "Cruisin," which explored interesting people and places withi

n a five-county radius, and had a weekly column called Culinary Conversation, which invited readers to share their cooking stories and recipes. A graduate of Penn State University with a degree in broadcast journalism, she previously co-hosted morning radio shows and did newscasts for radio stations in the Youngstown, Ohio and New Castle areas.
