🚨 URGENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN CANADA 🚨
If you or someone you know completed a diploma programme in Canada and is waiting on a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) — please read this carefully.
Thousands of international students — many from India — are being denied their Post-Graduation Work Permits (PGWPs), despite completing two-year diploma programmes and paying up to $32,000 CAD in tuition. 😔
The controversy centres on a June 24, 2026 IRCC policy clarification stating that graduates of "non-credit" programmes are generally not eligible for a PGWP — a rule students say was never made clear when they enrolled.
One affected student, Jaspinder Kaur from Punjab, shared her heartbreak:
"My father spent his whole lifetime saving for me. After completing my two years of study, I thought my future was secure."
Around 1,500 graduates are now left in financial and professional limbo — with massive debt, no legal right to work, and their pathway to Permanent Residency effectively blocked. 💔

✅ 3. Seek legal counsel — Consult a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) or a certified immigration lawyer immediately. Many students are already filing for judicial review in Federal Court.
✅ 4. Protect your legal status — Do NOT overstay your current visa. Apply for a visitor record or explore enrolling in an eligible credit-bearing programme while you appeal.
