UltraRadio.com Somewhere in Time - this was our Photo of the Day Feb. 10, 2012. The Shubert was directly across from Ultra Radio's storefront studio. Tall buildings on both sides of College Street funneled wind off The New Haven Green that was so strong on some days that we could watch this sign sway back and forth. Today the sign is gone, replaced by an electronic billboard on the side of the building.

UltraRadio.com Somewhere in Time - this was our Photo of the Day Feb. 4, 2014. In 2009 Yale's state of the art Smilow Cancer Hospital opened a few blocks from Ultra Radio's downtown New Haven studio. They made fun TV commercial where they showed people painting this mural on Water St. right next to Cody's Diner. It was made for the commercial and not to last as a mural so eventually the paint peeled off and was painted over. Today it's a big black was with a painting of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Late Great Radio DJ Barefoot Bob Bittens, lower right, hosted Ultra Radio's Super Bowl Party at Anna Liffey's in New Haven. Bob hosted our weekly NFL Pick 6 Sundays that season and passed away in 2017 after a 40 year radio career including being a DJ and Program Director for 106 WHCN in Hartford.

UltraRadio.com Somewhere in Time - this was our Photo of the Day Feb. 1, 2014. This was a Where is it Wed. photo. The first person in our Chatroom to identify the location won a prize. Unger's, with a half VW bug coming out of the wall, was on Water Street in New Haven, right next to Cody's Dinner. Today it houses the Studio B recording studio.
