No music and no nicely edited reel...
I'm straight to the point of my disappointment in folks from work that I've tried to include, that were initially receptive to the invite to break bread.
Read that again because reading comprehension is important. To not receive a text, which is the easiest form of communication is unfortunate and also disrespectful in my opinion. Especially to a person who only has your best interest at heart.
We have to do better as men of color in particular. We always scream for community but in reality, it's only the clickish community we want...I've entered so many social circles to gain knowledge and perspective although we may not be super close or spend a lot of time together, and I've become a better human in doing so.
Besides my close circle, I'm always open to breaking bread with anyone else periodically which my actions and history clearly show.
The energy and organization it takes to remember names and invite ppl, current and retired is not an easy thing. I always forget some folks and I apologize but I always try to do my best. I hope some of you take a small lesson from this video and become better communicators. If you don't care, I prefer when you see me you just say that and we can keep it 100% ...it's so much easier that way than always pretending "you forgot" or "you meant to get back to me." I'm not any of your wives, side bi***es, girlfriends or jump offs lol.
For the love of little baby Jesus, have some respect in communicating with people that have shown mutual respect towards you. It's very simple.
