13 years ago today, I married Jason. 🤍❄️

We planned our wedding in about four months (because of course we did)… with absolutely no idea that Mother Nature was about to understand the assignment. A cold snap rolled in just in time to turn our Winter Wonderland theme into the real thing. Faux fur wraps, silvery details, and all the cozy vibes we didn't even know we'd need.

By that point, I'd already owned the magazine for a few years, had been in the wedding world forever, and definitely knew what I wanted. The best part? Our vendor friends showed up in the biggest way, we said "I do" at the Peristyle in City Park, and followed it up with the most phenomenal brunch reception at The Chicory. Zero regrets. Would 10/10 do brunch again.

PS: Peep the groom's cake. A Superdome setup, chocolate-dipped bride and groom strawberries… and yes, that cupcake officiant with the paper bag on his head? Sean Payton. A very inside-joke nod to Saints history. IYKYK. 🏈🎂

Yesterday, we had the honor of witnessing something truly special. 🤍
�In under three weeks, an incredible group of wedding vendors came together and gave their time, talent, and hearts to create a beautiful wedding day for Sommer and Dennis. Every detail was a gift, every moment rooted in generosity.

This unforgettable day was made possible through Wish Upon a Wedding, a national nonprofit that grants weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness or life-altering health circumstances.
