The fire in Los Angeles is becoming unforgiving

A trio of Los Angeles fires, which struck one of the most iconic swaths of America, accelerated at an unforgiving pace overnight.

“The smoke started to get heavier and heavier as we sat in our car. Ash started to rain down on the cars, and I could see flames next to the street.”

At least two people have been killed and tens of thousands have been forced to evacuate.

Saudi prince Alwaleed Bin Talal agreed to commit almost 35 million share in Twitter

Elon Musk has secured nearly $7.1 billion in new financing to help him fund his proposed $44 billion buyout of Twitter. The new funding commitments will allow him to reduce by half, the size of the loan against his Tesla shares and give him a little personal financial relief.

Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal agreed to commit almost 35 million shares in Twitter with the total value of $1.9 billion to retain a stake in Twitter after Musk’s takeover. Billionaire Larry Ellison, the co-founder of Oracle Corp., who has a big stake in Tesla, has committed $1 billion.

The world’s largest crypto exchange Binance Holdings Ltd. and the venture capital giant Sequoia Capital are also among the investors.

Per CNBC, Musk plans to serve as temporary chief executive officer of Twitter for a “few months” after completing the deal later this year.
