Prepare for an incredible night sky event tonight! Skywatchers will be treated to a breathtaking display as two meteor showers, the Southern Delta Aquariids and Alpha Capricornids, reach their highest activity at the same time.

This rare dual peak will illuminate the darkness with shimmering trails of light, creating a truly unforgettable experience.

The Southern Delta Aquariids are active from mid-July to early August, and on peak nights, you could see as many as 8 meteors per hour if conditions are ideal.

Meanwhile, the Alpha Capricornids, while usually producing a milder rate of 3-5 meteors hourly, are known for their surprise appearances of remarkably bright fireballs.

With the moon providing minimal interference, being only 27-36% full, the darker backdrop will enhance visibility significantly. It’s the perfect opportunity to seek out a peaceful location, gaze upwards, and immerse yourself in this natural wonder.

Expect up to 25 meteors per hour with possible bright fireballs from Alpha Capricornids and long, glowing trails from Delta Aquariids. They are best viewed after midnight under a dark, clear sky. Look South between 2-4am!
