I guess I can finally let the cat out of the bag...
Los Tremolo Kings are playing Jazz Fest this year!! April 24 on the Lagniappe Stage, time slot TBA.
To say I'm excited is an understatement, as this will be my first time ever playing Jazz Fest, and only the second time playing a festival ( first time was Heiberg Festival in Belgium when I was 25...! )

As Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says...it's no accident, when a MAGA 'comedian' compares Puerto Rico to a floating pile of garbage, or makes racist jokes about African-americans, Palestinians and Jewish people...

BECAUSE THAT IS HOW THEY THINK.

Trump...

wants to put 18 million people in concentration camps to deport them...

tells outrageous lies about Haitian refugees who fled violence and persecution...

calls immigrants 'animals' who 'poison the blood of our country'...

has called non-white countries "sh*thole countries"...
..and on and on.

Trump and his MAGA base are racist to the f*cking core. Always have been. And I'm very happy that several Latino celebrities have (finally) endorsed Kamala Harris, and that the Trump campaign is
(rightly) worried about repercussions amongst the 460,000 Puertoricans living in Pennsylvania, a 'must-win' state for either candidate.

What sweet poetic justice it would be, if a racist 'comedian' ended up costing Trump the election!

The world cannot afford Trump as president of the US.

The world cannot afford a racist, fascist, climate change denier as American president. Somebody who would lock up and deport 11-18 million human beings. Someone who would use the National guard to crack down on demonstrations. Somebody who would use the Justice Department to go after his enemies. Somebody who would purge the federal government of anyone not deemed loyal enough. Someone who would give a brutal dictator like Putin a free hand in Europe. Someone who has a VERY detailed plan to become America's dictator, a 900+ page blueprint called Project 2025.

Is it not blindingly obvious that a Trump presidency would unleash hell on earth? That everything we take for granted would be swept away by a tsunami of violence and oppression?

If it isn't, then you must have been living under a rock. But if it is, then WHY is everybody who gives a damn not ringing the alarm loud and clear???

As musicians we each have our fan base, whether is 20 people or 20,000 people. WHY are we not posting EVERY day about the danger of a Trump win in November?

Worried about alienating fans? Worried about losing gigs?

Is any of that gonna matter if we live in a fascist dictatorship where NOBODY is safe???
