Our Story
Maison Bertrand began as the Monogram Coffee Company, founded officially in 1931, in Shreveport La. Just like in our bold beginnings, our iconic chicory coffee is the star of the show. Today, however, we bring the celebration of New Orleans tradition and culture to every product in our family. From fresh roasted coffee beans to our flavor-packed apple cider caramels, we credit all we do to those who showed us the way. That’s why we roast coffee beans from local farms in regions throughout Ethiopia where the ancient practice of coffee drinking began. That’s why we still use the recipes from Grandma, Grandpa, Great Aunts, Great Uncles, Mothers and Fathers. We honor the history, the love passed down, and the nostalgia it brings. From the quiet refinement of Back Vacherie to the decadent River view of the French Quarter, Maison Bertrand brings to you the best of Louisiana.
