New Orleans weekend rewind! Uptown Super Sunday, Irish Channel St. Pat’s Parade and Banana Ball.

The Savannah Bananas are coming to New Orleans for the first time, and there’s a local player on the roster. #3 Bryce Grizzaffi, from Morgan City and former Southeastern player, is making his debut at second base (he’s usually a catcher). According to the team, Grizzaffi, will get a special celebration when he comes up to bat. Fun fact: This weekend’s games will be the first time in 22 years that baseball has been played in the Caesars Superdome! Greater New Orleans Foundation secured the 2-game series; both games quickly sold out.

Thank you, Lauren McCoy, for making my anchoring debut with WVUE FOX 8 possible! What you didn’t see was Lauren redressing my mic pack, fixing my iPad with her log ins and spending hours with me over the weekend to make sure I was comfortable in my new news home. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be back on New Orleans news, and for the team here at FOX8!!
And I’m not replacing anyone - joining the team as the weekend 9pm and 10pm anchor and weekday reporter.

“I want you to know this was my decision and one I felt confident making because of the support and acceptance that I have found here. I am more sure of myself, more comfortable in my own skin, and most of all so much happier.”

I am so excited about what’s next for my dear friend Morgan Lentes WDSU! Share your love with Morgan as she moves from New Orleans to Baton Rouge.
