Our assignment was to shoot the Conrad-built Kapena Jack Young on sea trials offshore Fourchon. The vessel was built for Young Brothers, Ltd in Honolulu, the leading marine transportation firm in Hawaii. The word Kapena means Captain in Hawaiian, and Jack Young was one of the founders. This dynamic ad will be published in the April issue of Sea Power Magazine in conjunction with the SeaAirSpace exhibit in Washington DC. TLW will send a film and video crew to the show to document the Fincantieri exhibit and to conduct interviews for a internet Video News Release. Our client Fincantieri is seeking the U.S. Navy contract for the FFG(X) warship with its proven FREMM hull design; and also for the USCG Heavy Polar Icebreaker. TLW has produced films on both vessels.

Our assignment for Conrad Shipyard was to shoot sea trials of the tug OneCURE and the barge Edward Itta operating as an articulated tug barge unit (ATB). The vessel operated 10-miles offshore south of Port Fourchon and we shot stills, video and drone aerials. The shots will be included in a film now under production for Conrad and as a landing page for digital advertising in trade publications. Our chase boat captain was Barry Schexnaydre, a good pilot and a good guy.
