On a snowy November morning three years ago, the Eastern Western team landed in Montana and embarked on an unforgettable journey together. We set-dressed cabins, traversed mountains, built fires, made costumes, cuddled with bears, shared a whole lotta laughs and made onscreen magic happen. It’s hard to believe we are at the finish line, about to present this film to the world… It’s an exhilarating moment that wouldn’t have been possible without every single person who spent a day on set, in front of the camera, behind the camera and beyond. We have distribution! 🌟 El Jinete Films is thrilled to announce that EASTERN WESTERN is set for a limited theatrical release in December, and streaming in 2026 with Purdie Films! It’s a dream to announce our first official screening and homecoming to the Siskel Film Center in CHICAGO on December 13th! Tickets available now (in story!) Awards Night Recap! A true honor to receive the Carlo Simi Award for Contribution to the Genre with EASTERN WESTERN, and the Best Picture Award in Tabernas: a land so many greats galloped through. We can only hope that we left a tiny footprint (and definitely giant piece of our hearts) in those sands. To our parents: we dedicate these awards to you! To our new friends: we loved seeing your films and we can’t wait to see you down the road!
