The work itself isn't the hard part.
The preparation is.

The lecture notes. The slide decks. The handouts. The supporting materials that make your actual work land the way it should. That prep is invisible to everyone else — but it's where your hours go.

Monica Pierre (Emmy-winning journalist, Xavier University professor, story coach) decided to do something about it. One week inside the AI Bootcamp for Busy Professionals later, she had built a full week of course materials for every class — plus a complete deck and handout for a nonprofit presentation.

"It took Claude five minutes," she said.
She didn't lower her standards. She used AI as a production partner. If that sounds like a problem you recognize, I wrote up her full story. Link in the first comment. 👇

Who loves reading product update emails?

I've never been a fan, until now.
If you want to find the best AI for your daily work, start reading the update emails from the tools you already use. I'm telling you, they are full of AI capability that will move you forward fast.

In AI Bootcamp for Busy Professionals, we've dedicated an entire module to the AI that comes with the tools you have. From productivity platforms like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace for Business, to role-specific tools like Salesforce or niche-specific tools like Clio for law firms, AI is powering systems and processes in new ways for massive productivity gains.

If you want to build systems, these workflow tools are the place to start. If you want to lean into built-in security, these platforms are usually designed with security in mind.
LLMs like ChatGPT and Claude have a place, but don't miss what's rolling out in the software you use every day.

A new monthly discipline for the AI leader is: read your product update emails. And that's a sentence I thought I would never say!

Most AI courses give you tools. This one gives you a roadmap AND the judgment to use it well.

This is the roadmap I use in the AI Bootcamp for Busy Professionals — built especially for professional services: real estate, legal, financial, banking, and healthcare. We specialize here because we've spent 25 years in digital marketing serving compliance-driven industries. We understand what's at stake.

You'll start using AI in week 1 and build at your own pace — from your first assistant all the way to agents and automation.

What makes this different: Security and Ethics aren't a module. They come before and after every topic — because responsible AI use isn't an afterthought in your world. It's the whole game.

No tech background required. Just bring your business problems.

It's 2001 and you open a browser, type three words into a white box, and scroll through ten blue links.

That interaction, the one that shaped how we find information for over two decades, has officially ended this week.

It's the biggest redesign of Search in 25 years. The keyword box is being replaced by an intelligent AI interface. With a paid account, background agents will be able to monitor the web for you around the clock, synthesizing what they find and alerting you when something relevant changes.

Google Workspace users with Gemini enabled, as well as paid Google AI Pro and Ultra account holders, will have access to these new agentic features.

We are entering the Agent Era where AI works on your behalf to get things done whether you are present or not!

Today at 3 p.m., I'm unpacking all of it LIVE in our monthly State of AI session inside AI Bootcamp for Busy Professionals. We'll cover:

→ What Google's redesign actually means for how your clients find you online
→ What the shift from prompting to delegating looks like in practice
→ What busy professionals should be paying attention to right now

AI education isn't an event. It's a process.

Members: see you at 3 pm CT.

Want to stay ahead of changes like this? AI Bootcamp for Busy Professionals is where we do exactly that, together.

I follow Anthropic, the company behind Claude AI, very closely. Yesterday, they announced Claude for Small Business yesterday! This is exciting!

Claude is one of my top favorite AI tools, for good reason. It writes like a human, works like a colleague, and analyzes data in ways that give me insights I couldn't have gotten on my own or as well with other AI tools. It has genuinely changed how I work.

And the company behind it matters too. Anthropic is a recognized leader in AI safety, security, and governance. I have the deepest respect for CEO and Co-Founder Dario Amodei and President and Co-Founder Daniela Amodei — their integrity and thoughtful approach to building AI responsibly is evident in everything they release.

Claude for Small Business isn't a new chatbot. It's Claude working inside the tools your business already runs on — QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 — handling the work that piles up after hours.
We're talking about workflows that can:
✅ Plan payroll and forecast cash flow
✅ Chase invoices automatically
✅ Close the books at month-end with fewer errors
✅ Run a marketing campaign from strategy to published assets
✅ Triage leads and review contracts

You stay in control. Claude builds the plan — you approve before anything sends, posts, or pays.

One business owner said it well: "Not only could it problem-solve for me, it also showed me problems I didn't know I had."
That's the kind of AI adoption I talk about every week with the professionals I train.

And here's something local worth noting: Anthropic is bringing a free half-day workshop to Baton Rouge as part of their national SMB Tour. If you've been AI-curious and want a starting point, it's worth checking out.

But I'll say this, a half-day intro is exactly that. An introduction. If you're ready to go deeper and consistently build AI into how you work, that's what AI Bootcamp for Busy Professionals is designed for.

The door is open. The question is how far in you want to go. 🚪

Drop a comment or send me a message — I'm happy to help you figure out your next step.

Most businesses are using AI in some capacity.

Very few have a policy for it.

That gap is a real liability.
→ Who in your organization is authorized to use AI tools — and for what?

→ What data are your people feeding into AI right now without realizing the risk?

→ If an AI tool makes a bad decision that affects a client, where does the accountability land?

→ Do your clients know how their information is being handled?

These aren't hypothetical questions anymore. They're the ones every business needs to ask.

An AI usage policy doesn't have to be a 40-page legal document. For most professional services teams, it starts with four things: approved tools, data boundaries, disclosure language, and a human checkpoint process.
Simple. Documented. Enforced.

If your team uses AI without a policy, you are not alone.
The good news? There are frameworks to help.

Are you working on AI governance for your organization — or is it still on the "we should probably do that" list?

If you're in the second camp, let's talk. I have a framework that can get you from "unprotected" to "documented.”

Agentic AI arrived so quickly. It's been hard to keep up with it. We just got good at prompting and now the job description has changed.

To get the most out of AI, we now need to think differently.

We need to think like a manager. Here's the fundamental difference.

Chat AI: Like a consultant. It gives advice, but YOU do the work.

Agentic AI: Like an employee with keys to your office. You describe the outcome, IT does the work.

Why this matters for your 2026 ROI: Current AI chat tools already save us 4–5 hours a week. Agentic AI is projected to double those savings, reclaiming up to 35% of your work week by the end of 2026.

The concern is that More access = More responsibility. A "Full AI Agent" can be given read, write, and execute permissions. You'll need to define permissions and set up the human checkpoints, otherwise you aren't delegating, you're gambling.

How to start today:

Desktop Users: Use Claude Cowork for sensitive local files.

Web Users: Use ChatGPT Agent Mode for autonomous research.

Google Users: Use Workspace Studio (it’s likely already in your Gmail).

The best AI isn’t the smartest one; it’s the one that removes the most friction from your actual workflow.

Which side of the fence are you on?
Are you comfortable giving an AI "Write & Execute" access to your email or CRM yet?

Or are you strictly keeping it in "Read-Only" mode until the tech matures further?

I’m leaning toward "Write" for internal tasks, but "Read" for client-facing ones. Curious to hear your logic.

A bulletproof vest doesn't slow an officer down.

It’s what allows them to run toward danger instead of away from it.

Yesterday, I put the finishing touches on my session for today’s AI Bootcamp for Busy Professionals. While the core of our work today will be about how to build AI agents, we’ll also equip our community to put an AI Bulletproof Vest on their business.

If you’re hesitant to implement AI Agents because of what could go wrong, you are not alone.

With autonomous agents, a "hallucination" isn't just a typo, it’s a bad business decision.

Standard Automation is a train on a track. You own the rails.
Agentic AI is a self-driving car. It sends the email. Processes the refund. Updates the CRM. It thinks for itself.

Our community will build these agents to buy back their time and they’ll do so with confidence in this 6-part safety framework, the AI Bulletproof Vest:

Mindset Shift: Moving from treating AI as a "copilot" to a digital "employee" that can process payments and modify data while you sleep.

Scope Boundaries: Hard-coding "off-limits" rooms in your digital office so agents can't touch sensitive client records or financial accounts.

Confidence Thresholds: Instructing the agent to stop and ask for clarification if it is less than 95% confident about a recipient or an intent.

Audit Trails: Creating a "Monday morning 5-minute habit" to review logs and ensuring you have a tested 60-second "AI Off Switch".

The Veto Gate: Identifying high-stakes triggers—like payments or emails to 5+ people—that require an explicit human "thumb up" before the AI acts.

Legal Transparency: Adding a one-sentence AI policy to your client agreements so your customers know exactly how their data is (and isn't) handled.

Put on the vest and you’ll have the confidence you need to move forward with your first agent.

The vest doesn't slow you down.

It's what lets you run. I'm sharing the full 23-point AI Agent Safety Checklist with our Bootcamp today — and opening it to my network too. Want a copy? Drop "VEST" in the comments.
