U.S. District Judge Susie Morgan ended the decree Wednesday afternoon, after more than a dozen years of U.S. government oversight.

The NOPD began the two-year "sustainment" phase just last January, but both the Trump Justice Department and the Cantrell administration sought an early end to the decree.
