🚨 With the loss of Joe Alt, the Saints are dealing Trevor Penning to the LA Chargers for a future 6th round draft pick (2027).

Penning showed improvement in run blocking but overall, he may be one of the biggest first round busts that New Orleans has ever drafted. It’s really unfortunate he didn’t work out but this is absolutely the right move. I’m honestly surprised that LA was even willing to give up a pick for him. ⚜️🤷‍♂️

🚨 Well this one hurts but I can’t say I didn’t see it coming. The Saints are officially trading Rashid Shaheed to the Seattle Seahawks.

Klint Kubiak reunites with one of the most underrated deep threats in the league and New Orleans gains a little bit of draft capital. This will also save some money as Shaheed is soon due a new contract.

Hate to lose one of the only playmakers left on the roster, but it’s all about the long game in this long overdue rebuild.

Best of luck Sheed, go show the NFL exactly how lethal you can be. ⚜️💔

For anyone watching MNF, the Saints haven’t had a true WR1 that can catch a ball through contact like this since Michael Thomas. That’s the top issue on offense in my opinion. 🤷‍♂️
