End of June, 2025
Louisiana: Metarie, Scott, Leesville, Anacoco, Bossier, Benton, Metarie, NOLA.
Didn’t get a pic of all my lovies in Louisiana; but, I did get to hug quite a few of them.
Last Tuesday, I called my sweet daughter to see if she was home and I could run by for a hug…. She was and therein began my little trek.
I just decided I needed a hug from allllll the lovies.
Off I went, to Metarie, to give Stephe’ & Elijah a hug. Then on to Lafayette where I was able to spend a few minutes with my brother, Johnny, and his sweet family. Turned a bit northwest towards Leesville; met my sweet brother, Jimmy, at the mailbox where we talked a bit and after a hug, I meandered on to Anacoco where my precious Aunt Willie Dell generously let me stay with her for the night. (I do love talking and spending time with her so much.) On Wednesday, I was able to spend a few minutes in New Llano with Mrs. Beavers and then a precious lunch with Jenaleyse & Georgia at Hazel’s Tea Room in Leesville. It was lovely to spend a little extra time with my Georgia running around town after Jenaleyse had to skee-daddle back to work. (PS: Y’all be sweet to those tellers at the bank.) Georgia and I even got to make a quick stop at the Sugartown Watermelon Stand to pick up the best watermelons. Afterwards, I ran by Sharon’s, in Anacoco, to hug and kiss James and Wesley for a minute or two. Then on to Bossier to meet Kenny & his precious family at church, and then, spend the night with them. I enjoyed meeting their neighbors and friends and spending time with all of them. Kenny, Sunny & I discussed and took a look-see at my next settling down place. Before leaving Benton, I was even able to hug our sweet Mary and love on sweet baby Harper, who is an absolute joy, even when that bad ol’ gas is hurting her tummy.
All too soon, my hugging had to cease and back to NOLA and Ochsner I went. My last hugs were with the very people who started me on my way. Looove our Stephe’ & Elijah.
What a wonderful way to spend the middle of a week
