A handful of rusty washers, one dented bottle cap, a screw, and some copper wire should not turn into something this beautiful… but here we are. 🔩🌻✨
The metallic clicks as every washer falls into place are already satisfying, but the moment the copper wire starts twisting into the stem completely changes it. I love that the rust is not hidden—the oxidation, scratches, bent wire, and uneven petals are exactly what make the finished sunflower feel alive and genuinely handmade.
Then that tiny layer of gold paint catches only the raised edges while all the old metal texture stays visible underneath. It somehow looks delicate and industrial at the same time.
Would you leave it naturally rusty or paint the whole flower gold? Tag someone who keeps random hardware because “it might be useful someday.” Comment “RUST” if the final reveal was worth the wait, and save this for your next upcycling project. 🌻♻️
