What do we discover when we make room for each other?

Join us for the first Coffee & ____, a new community gathering built around conversation and presence.

Our first gathering is intentionally open. We’ll spend the morning getting to know one another, sharing what’s on our minds, and exploring the needs, questions, and desires we’re carrying with us 🫂

This is the beginning of an ongoing series where each gathering will center a different theme, creating space to better understand ourselves, each other, and the world around us.

TBD Magazine x Lede New Orleans present a workshop for Collective Imagination, Housing Justice, and Future-Building 💬

This we know: the people of New Orleans are still here and continue to shape futures on this land. This workshop will push us to hold our current climate reality and explore future pathways for New Orleans beyond relocation and abandonment.

We’re inviting artists, organizers, researchers, cultural workers and community members to gather and share their visions.

The evening will feature a conversation with sociologist, artist and co-founder of Jane Place Neighborhood Sustainability Initiative Shana M. griffin, followed by collaborative world-building exercises using collage, mapping, writing and design prompts to imagine systems and solutions that support long-term community sustainability in New Orleans.

This Sunday!! Meet us for WE, THE LAND at the Sankofa Wetland & Nature Trail 🦎🌾🪷🌞

We’re gathering to consider how the land shapes our experiences of freedom & we’d love to see you there!

The session will begin and end with self-portraits, capturing a before-and-after reflection of how land awareness and connectivity can shift our sense of self.

We, The Land: Guided Walk + Self Portrait Session 🌿

What shifts when we understand ourselves as part of the land, not separate from it?

Join us for a guided nature walk and self-portrait session exploring interconnectedness as a pathway toward freedom and transformation. Through movement, close observation, and image-making, we’ll walk the trail together with guided stops for reflection.

The session will begin and end with self-portraits, capturing a before and after reflection of how land awareness can shift our sense of self.
