Be advised there is a new scam call going around.

The caller is claiming to be a Sgt. Jerod Allen or Lt. Collins of the Morton County Sheriff's Office. He claims "there was paperwork filed by the courts that needs to be taken care of or a warrant will be issued through the local magistrate and 2 deputies will come and arrest you." He is asking for a large amount of cash to be deposited into a kiosk, and has a fairly heavy southern accent. The number he is calling from looks to be that of the Morton County Sheriff’s office. Citizens should be cautious of such calls as most government institutions will not ask for such information over the phone. If you have been the victim of a similar scam or know someone who has, please contact your local law enforcement agency. Today, August 27th, Mandan is experiencing a citywide WiFi and telephone outage. It is currently assumed that construction crews struck a fiber optic line during their work. Repairs are expected to take place soon, but little information is available at this time.e

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Advertising Sales Representative who shares our passion for newspapers and local journalism. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a strong belief in the value of print media, and the confidence to sell our products effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses to promote advertising opportunities in our print and digital platforms.

-Create customized advertising solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.

-Conduct sales presentations and negotiate contracts with prospective clients.

-Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to effectively position our products.

-Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and objectives.

-Collaborate with the editorial and design teams to create compelling advertising content.

-Provide excellent customer service and support to clients throughout the advertising process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Previous experience in sales, preferably in advertising or media.

-Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license with insurance.
