We were sad to say goodbye to our summer interns Sophia Fafard and Kayden Schmitcke last week. We loved having you with us this summer. Best of luck back at BSC as co-editors of the Mystician. ADVERTISING/SALES MARKETING POSITION

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Morton County News Journal is dedicated to delivering important news and information to our community. We believe in the power of local journalism to connect, inform and empower our readers.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Advertising Sales Representative who shares our passion for newspapers and local journalism. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a strong belief in the value of print media, and the confidence to sell our products effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses to promote advertising opportunities in our print and digital platforms.

-Create customized advertising solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.

-Conduct sales presentations and negotiate contracts with prospective clients.

-Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to effectively position our products.

-Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and objectives.

-Collaborate with the editorial and design teams to create compelling advertising content.

-Provide excellent customer service and support to clients throughout the advertising process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Previous experience in sales, preferably in advertising or media.

-Proven ability to achieve sales targets and build strong client relationships.

-Strong communication skills.

-A passion for local journalism and the belief in the importance of community news.

-Self-motivated and results-driven with a willingness to learn and adapt.

-Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license with insurance.

UPDATED 7/24: The contractor had an issue this morning and will not be completing this work today. It will be rescheduled for next week. City staff and leaders apologize for the inconvenience. Once more details are confirmed, information will be shared.

💦WATER OUTAGE FOR LOHSTRETER RD POSTPONED TO JULY 24. The work initially scheduled for July 22 has been rescheduled for the morning and early afternoon of Thursday, July 24, beginning at approximately 9 a.m. due to the heavy rain Tuesday morning💦

‼Heads Up‼ As part of the water main replacement in the Street Improvement District (SID) 235 project, the main line feeding Lohstreter Road must be shut down in order to repair a valve and make a connection for the new water main to be installed on 17th Ave NW.
➡This work is scheduled for the morning and early afternoon of July 22 beginning at approximately 9 a.m.
➡Every effort will be made to limit the outage to under 4 hours.
➡Please turn off any booster pumps, water heaters, or other water-using appliances prior to the July 22 outage to eliminate the risk of burnout or other damage.

📍Temporary Water Outage Area: Lohstreter Rd from the area of Marilyn Dr/16th Ave NW to north of Union Loop/Lincoln Place
