Ever wondered what to give the creative and inspired person on your list when what you really want to say is "I believe in you" or "You've got talent!" How about a writer's conference -- and even better -- a trip to Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Westminster alum Loriann Hoff Oberlin has served on the planning committee of a Mid-Atlantic Writing Conference for the past few years. It inspired her, in fact, to write a women's fiction series under pen name Lauren Monroe.
March 10, 2018 is the date for the 21st annual Bay To Ocean Writers Conference at Chesapeake College, in Wye Mills, Maryland. At BTO, attendees exchange ideas, hone the writing craft, and participate in specific networking discussions during lunch, if they choose. Author and poetry readings will finish the day along with book sales and signings.
Register by December 31, 2017 to obtain an early-bird $95 registration fee and $55 for students with valid ID. Registration includes continental breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks, attendance at the keynote speaker session and all workshops.
As one of the region’s premier educational seminars, Bay To Ocean Writers Conference attracts those from more than six states. Conference site approximately 5.5 hours from Pittsburgh. It has often sold out weeks or months ahead of the conference. Visit
