75 years ago, Althea Gibson shattered barriers and changed the game forever. 🎾✨

In a sport that was once closed off to her, she fought through racism and exclusion to become the first Black player to compete in the US Open (1950), the first Black woman to compete at Wimbledon, and the first Black woman to win a Grand Slam.

Her strength, resilience, and trailblazing spirit paved the way for generations of athletes to follow.
A true legend, on and off the court. 🙌🏽
