Both when new and in its current patina, I have always received compliments on it from bellhops and other luggage handlers. I recently submitted this bag to Filson's restoration department where they replaced a couple of straps, patched a small hole, and even sewed in a new zipper tape under their guarantee. Amazing! This bag has travelled many leagues across four continents. I recently bought some new Filson luggage, but I expect to treat this one to a new wax job and give it the most use. It was a godsend for HIV/AIDS patients suffering from extreme pain and/or a decreased appetite caused by other medications. The only problem was, of course, heavy smoking leads to other health related issues, like lung cancer. The solution? Vaporizing the THC instead of burning it. It turns out the ideal va**ng set up for these patients was a variable temperature heat gun and custom bowl made by VripTech . I haven’t used my gun for va**ng in many years, but it has come in handy for about a million different DIY projects over the years and it’s still going strong.” – Stone Mallard

I immediately fell in love with the tone-on-tone suede from Charles F. Stead Tannery and details like contrast stitching and quilted leather lining.
