I was born on September 13, 1985, in Cebu City, Philippines. I grew up in a humble home without a father but was raised by my mom, aunt, and grandmother, who were all powerful women in my life. I am also blessed with a beautiful daughter named Velvet, who is turning 8 this year! At the age of 14, I discovered my passion for dancing and performed in local TV shows in Cebu for almost half a decade. In 2005, my love for dance led me to pursue it as a career in Manila, performing on various professional stages from theater to television, showcasing my talent and skills. With great dedication, my career eventually led me to audition and secure a contract to perform on a cruise ship for Norwegian Cruise Line in 2019. My time on the cruise ship was an exciting new chapter in my career. I performed alongside other talented dancers from all over the world, entertaining guests and traveling to different countries. However, my dancing career was put on hold due to a knee injury, which required two operations and ongoing therapy three times a week. I had to face the harsh reality that I may not be able to dance professionally again. Although my injury put a halt to my dancing career, I remained optimistic and determined to find other ways to pursue my passion for the arts. I started exploring other avenues, such as teaching dance and choreography. I also decided to pick up where I left off with my academic studies and continued it through ALS (ALTERNATIVE LEARNING SYSTEM) while attaining a job on one of the BPO companies that I had worked with as a choreographer before. Now, I am working with them as a CSR (CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE). While juggling schedules from work, school, therapy, and a little bit of fun, I learned some important lessons from my experience - that nothing is constant in a career, and having a backup plan is crucial. I continue to persevere through my injury and am exploring other means of surviving in this ever-changing world. Through my dedication and hard work, I consider myself a symbol of resilience and determination and hopefully inspire others to pursue their passion and overcome challenges along the way. My story is a testament that with the power of hard work, determination, and perseverance in pursuing one's dreams, anyone can overcome adversity and achieve success in life.
