It may be a new year, but we have the same resolve to continue working to change our relationship to land, home, and race, by transforming the stories we tell about them. We know that harmful narratives play a major role in creating barriers to racial justice and to equitable policies, practices, and public discourse. The good news is that we are not powerless to change systems and policies. We can organize together with our community and make a difference. We stand firm in our resolve to continue this work this year. What are some of your new year's resolutions??

The holiday season is a great time to listen to a new podcast! In But Next Time, community organizers Chrishelle Palay and Rose Arrieta lead us on a journey, meeting and learning from frontline survivors, first responders, and multigenerational organizers who have found creative ways to serve their communities when they were hit by devastating wildfires and hurricanes. But Next Time spotlights powerful stories of community-led disaster prevention and recovery and answers one vital question: how can we ensure that next time will be different?

Listen for free today on your favorite podcast app or by streaming it on our website. We also have an abundance of free resources on our website to help you and your community ensure that "next time" is different. https://risehomestories.com/but-next-time/listen/
