Party Muscles Flex Hard On "Does It Even Matter" - Niche-Appeal.com

Please allow us to introduce yourselves to Party Muscles 💪, a 4-piece retro AF garage rock whirlwind from Philly. The gun in their most popular video may be a prop, but Party Muscles is the real deal, that rarest of all of today’s breeds, a ROCK N’ ROLL BAND. Raw and seemingly unfiltered, the PM serve up the type of unhinged-yet well-executed riffs that have captivated the masses, then the few, then the masses once again for 40 decades now. 👇READ MORE!👇

Dead Grateful Dead Keyboard Players Volume 2: Pigpen And The Early, Primal Dead - Niche-Appeal.com

There are many thousands of freak-card-carrying Dead Tribesmen out there who never listen to a show past 1972.🙃 You will not find them on the Dead & Co. circuit. They weren’t roasting in Chicago for the 50th anniversary. They weren’t in the minor league baseball stadium lots for the Further experiment.😌 These lost souls spent the threadbare Deadland late-’70s and the world-conquering ’80s wandering Shakedown Street with long, lost faces, holding up pictures of a certain long-deceased Dead keys man to the throngs of disinterested spinners and trippers and weekend warriors and dealers and needers of miracles like followers of a well known but seldom worshiped saint... Aimee Mann Stumbles Through A Sad, Dissolute Trainwreck At Jersey's Newton Theater - Niche-Appeal.com

Opening act Jonathan Coulton, or “JoCo” as the gaggle of Coulton stans surrounding me referred to the thickly bearded warm up singer/songwriter, breezed through his opening set with a decent series of fast-strummed, whimsical ditties.🚂 It must be tough to be Jonathan Coulton on nights such as these, attempting to joke and jostle a late-middle aged audience glazed on antidepressants and IPAs, a crowd that remained complacent and sheep like over the horrific course of this trainwreck of a night.... Where: The Newton Theater, North Jersey When: July 14th Who? Aimee Mann with Jonathan “JoCo” Coulton opening Why?: We don’t know, but I was definitely ripped off for almost 60 bucks. What happened?: Drugs. Lots of them. Where do I... Continue Reading →

Melotika's Continued Rise On "Don't Believe You (You Speak)" - Niche-Appeal.com

Montreal singer/songwriter🎤 Mel Yelle seems to be finding great solace in her ’80s pop alter ego, Melotika. Unlike the acoustic confessionals crafted under M. Yelle, as Melotika she serves up electronic indie disco sounds complete with unabashed performance art sets that land somewhere a million miles from the earnest ground upon which she started. It’s one of the boldest musical rebirths of recent times, and it’s seemingly paying dividends.👽👽👽 CLICK LINK AND READ MORE!

Historian Floats Toward Space Rock Majesty on "Spiral Again" - Niche-Appeal.com

Chris Karman, the cosmic wizard🧙‍♂️ behind the deliciously spacey Historian, ponders if he just may be a dying breed. One of the standout songs on his recent release, Spiral Again, “Dying Breed” represents a curiously removed deep dive into personal nightmare territory. Singing in his signature liquid vocal intonations of empty sidewalks and parking lots, questions such as “Am I so obsolete?” ring with a cerebral horror that goes far beyond base metaphysical musings. He is convinced the surrounding lights are closing in. “I am stolen out of another time”. Echoes of Brian Wilson “I Just Wasn’t Made For These Times” existential angst just drip from this track... click & Read More! Historian

Scary Hours Finds Gold Scraps In The Wastelands On "Live To Serve" - Niche-Appeal.com

Ryan Struck has come up with one of our recent favorite musical avatars of the many we come across each day (but still not better than REO Speeddealer): Scary Hours. We also must give him props for crafting a song about hiding in his refrigerator, finding refuge among the quarter-full half-and-half containers and cold pizza in “Fridge Hunter” off his recently released, and also brilliantly titled, Live to Serve. Dead Grateful Dead Keyboard Players Volume 1: Brent Mydland - Niche-Appeal.com

It’s a strange phenomenon indeed that an individual who enjoyed eleven fat years as an important member of one of the most successful and legendary bands of the past two centuries, years that saw their ascent from arenas to multi-night sold out football stadium runs, could fall anywhere near the category of the unsung legend.👏 And yet so goes the fate of our benevolent, bearded, and ultimately doomed Brent Mydland... click and READ MORE.
