Today is the final day of FUV's Year-End Drive — and with the elimination of federal funding, our members are the foundation of our ability to bring you the music and FUV Live sessions that you love, like our recent Natalie Bergman set and interview.

Streaming is key to many of our listeners who might live far away — like Leigh in Iowa City, Iowa who loves her slice of NYC via WFUV. That is a resource that our members help fund with their contributions.

So be like Leigh! Become a member of the radio station that warms even the coldest of days and contribute now at supportwfuv.org — the drive ends at midnight so we need you today. Thank you, fab FUV listeners!

On this date in 1903 the Wright brothers made the first successful airplane flight near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. So let's mark the occasion with a set of songs about planes and flying. We'll schedule that for take-off after 9 a.m. on the Question of the Day.

If you're not yet a WFUV member, isn't it time to straighten up and fly right? Listener Judy Haselton is matching whatever you donate today up to $10,000 at supportwfuv.org

Thanks to everyone contributing to FUV's Year-End Drive! If you're headed to WFUV.org to make your contribution, we'd also love for you to vote for your top albums, songs and discoveries of 2025! One lucky entry will win an oh-so-snazzy Audio-Technica AT-LP70X Fully Automatic Belt-Drive Turntable and a pile of equally cool vinyl albums.

Voting ends at 11:59pm tomorrow, along with our Year-End Drive! So do double duty with a donation and then vote for your FUV faves too at WFUV.org.

Angels seem to be ever-present at this time of year. They also show up in many a song. What are your favorite songs that mention angels? Corny will spin a host of them after 9 a.m. on the Question of the Day.

An anonymous guardian angel is matching donations today up to $20,000 for our Year-End Member Drive. So, be an angel and donate at supportwfuv.org

We love that Christine in Huntington Station says that "Listening to FUV is like spending time with friends." Public radio stations like WFUV are your companions during your workday, waking up in the early (cold!) mornings, while you're cooking dinner, or winding down late at night.

We support artists like The Swell Season via platforms like "FUV Live" sessions or our recent "An Evening with The Mountain Goats and Molly Tuttle." There's a lot of sadness in the world and we know that you cite WFUV, time and time again, as being an oasis of serenity and sunshine.

We're always grateful when our listeners/members tell us what WFUV means to them.

During our Year-End Drive, please contribute to WFUV and help us launch into the new year — our members are what keep us going, playing the music you love, and soundtracking all of your seasons.

Please become a sustaining member today or make an additional gift at supportwfuv.org.

City Winery NYC was the locale for a live performance this autumn with three of the five members of Mt. Joy , back with a fourth album, 'Hope We Have Fun.'

For this concert AND "FUV Live" session, hosted by Alisa Ali, singer and guitarist Matt Quinn, guitarist Sam Cooper, and keyboardist Jackie Miclau chose an eight-song set drawn from that new release (like this clip, "Lucy") as well as older selections.

Watch/listen to this session at WFUV.org:

or find it via the "FUV Live Sessions" podcast at Spotify, Apple Podcasts or Amazon Podcasts. (All made possible thanks to members like you.)

And it's a reminder that if you want to be a Marquee Member for 2026, and attend shows like this intimate Mt. Joy concert (they play MSG next year!), why not become a sustaining Marquee Member at $125 a month/$1500 a year? Head to supportwfuv.org.

Corny here - If you want to get your request played, show me the money. In other words, share your favorite songs that mention moolah, dough, bread, cabbage, cold hard cash, etc. I'll spread the wealth in a set after 9 a.m. on the Question of the Day.

Making a contribution to WFUV is money well spent - anything you donate this morning will be matched up to $10,000. Give now at supportwfuv.org Thanks!

Kara Manning here: British + global new music on "UKNY" at 11pm with songs to combat late-night Sunday scaries and the c-c-old snap, from Divorce with Marcus Mumford, Lime Garden, Lianne La Havas , Dublin's Big Sleep, Dove Ellis, Picture Parlour and more.

If you love your FUV weekends — with an eclectic mix of music and ideas — or listen during the week in the Archives, please know that we couldn't bring you these shows or our on-demand streaming without member support. Start off your week by becoming an FUV superhero by becoming a first-time member, a sustaining member, or donating an extra gift to keep the tunes tumbling forward into 2026.

Please contribute tonight at supportwfuv.org.
