We’re excited to welcome conductor Gergely Madaras to our roster for North America, in collaboration with our colleagues at Askonas Holt.

Currently Music Director of the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, Gergely was recently named Conductor of the Year at the Bartók Radio Awards in recognition of his support and championing of Hungarian composers. He appears this season with the WDR Sinfonieorchester, NHK Symphony, Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and more.

The Viano Quartet's new album takes inspiration from the Voyager spacecraft, pairing Beethoven’s Große Fuge and Cavatina—the latter launched into space on the Golden Record—with lunar-themed works by Debussy, Bart Howard, and a bold new work by Alistair Coleman.

✨ Anthony Roth Costanzo joins the historical performance specialists Twelfth Night at Caramoor for a breathtaking evening of arias by Handel and Vivaldi. Fresh off his Lincoln Center triumph with The Comet/Poppea, Anthony brings his signature artistry to this elegant summer evening.

🎶 And on the other side of the country, powerhouse baritone Michael Chioldi returns to Santa Fe Opera to sing Rigoletto, leading a bold new production inspired by Renaissance art. The cast also features Duke Kim as…The Duke, making his mainstage debut.

We’re thrilled to announce that conductor, harpsichordist, and Olivier Award winner Peter Whelan has been named the next Music Director of Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale.

Known for his dynamic stage presence, scholarly insight, and bold programming, Whelan brings an electrifying vision to historically informed performance. After his triumphant debut conducting Handel’s 'Alceste', the choice was clear.

Peter will begin his tenure in the 2026/27 season, shaping the next chapter of Philharmonia’s 45-year legacy.
