Our students come to understand the practical requirements of performing on their instrument right from the first lesson. They will ultimately be able to perform in all types of performance environments.
Our focus is to get our hobbyists to enjoy performing their instrument in the comfort of their own home or with friends, and to have our professionally-minded students go out into the world of performing and recording music. All of these environments are where the ultimate joy of playing an instrument can be expressed.
We take stringent classical pedagogy out of the mix and start off right away with the raw materials that you will need to start performing in front of and with people ASAP, in addition to learning the skills you will need to record your instrument! As gigging and studio musicians, we understand what it takes to get to the stage or studio, apply yourself in that environment, and come away with a satisfying experience that you can then build upon for the rest of your life.
Mission: Our Mission: The Saint Amour School of Music is an applied music theory and performance school. We are dedicated to creating educated and knowledgeable musicians who will be able to enjoy performing music as a hobby or pursue a career in the performing and / or recording arts.
