The end of an era. Congratulations to the Reverend Canon Stephanie Spellers on her new call as Priest in Charge at St. Gregory of Nyssa in San Francisco! Canon Spellers has left an indelible mark on St. Bart's, and her experience starting The Crossing in Boston has been a source of invaluable wisdom and inspiration to Imagine Worship. We will miss you, and can't wait to visit you in California. Love always! 🙌🏽❤️✨

As part of our Voices of Pride in June series, community member Carlos Santiago offered the reflection last Thursday, offering a word of hope about how Jesus meets us in the hailstorms of life.

This Thursday at 7 pm, Imagine Worship at St. Bart’s will celebrate Pride and Juneteenth with guest preacher, the Rev. Dr. Brandon Thomas Crowley.

Dr. Crowley is Senior Pastor of Myrtle Baptist Church in Newton, MA, one of the nation's most prominent LGBTQ+ affirming historically Black churches. Director of Theological Studies at Episcopal Divinity School, Crowley is also also a Lecturer at Harvard Divinity School and author of Queering Black Churches: Dismantling Heteronormativity in African American Congregations.

A pastor, preacher, scholar, and theologian working at the intersections of Black church life, q***r theory, justice, and liberation, Dr. Crowley offers a powerful voice for a time such as this.
