The Key West Quail-Dove is a rare and secretive bird found primarily in the Caribbean. A small population lives in southern Florida, where it can sometimes be spotted on the ground of dense forests. It is known for its beautiful reddish-brown back and iridescent purple and green patches on its head and neck. Because it is so rare in the US, birdwatchers are always excited to catch a glimpse of it.
