The holidays snuck up on us FAST!
Do you agree !?!?

2021 many of our children went back to in person learning after being deprived of social connection in 2020. It was hard and the changes took a toll on most of our children emotionally and mentally. With the holidays approaching , this will be the perfect time to reconnect with what we described as our norm.

While the children are on break , here are a few activities you can do as a family that are beneficial to their emotional well being.

Take a page out of my Dear You , I Dare You coloring book and create a vision board
Utilize some topics out of either of my children’s books to spark up family convo around the dinner table
Organize a thankful Thursday trip with the kids to hand out copies of my children’s book to the less fortunate
Curate a gift box with your children to give to their teachers and include items such as my children’s books, thank you cards and more

Unfortunately in society we females are often first judged by how we look rather than our ability to do. Which can actually lead to young girls growing up more self conscious than self confident.

In my book Dear You, Young Girl I provide a safe space that encourages our young girls to embrace themselves in their entirety. True self love is feeling good and confident about yourself as you are !

“There are no limits to what you can do. There are no limits to who you can become.”

You’re lonely, so go back to your ex and fix it. 😳

Yea Right !
If thats what you WANT to hear, I’m sorry, I can’t stand behind that.
Being lonely is not a good reason to get back with your ex, no matter how tempting it is. As social creatures as we humans are, our minds will have us do things to stop loneliness in fear we might die and never find happiness again.
However, let’s take a moment and redirect the energy you have towards making yet ANOTHER mistake and refocus it on yourself.

We all make mistakes, yes, myself included !

Yet , in this season of our lives lets do the inner work required to avoid making the same mistake - again !

Today makes one year since Dear You Young Boy was published.
While 2020 was a year of emotion, trauma and so much more , in my heart I felt good knowing that I was able to share some positive light through my published work.
Although Dear You young boy was written almost 2 years prior to release, I’ve battled with feeling like whether it was good enough or compatible with its parallel Dear you young girl. However, after a million revisions the timing of release felt absolutely necessary.
As a mother it will always be one of my hearts desire to pour positive words of encouragement and inspiration with children as I do my own.
In 2020 where our children may have been dealing with their own emotions and adapting to the new changes in the world I couldn’t be more happy to have been able to have shared some sort of positivity with you all !

With all that being said, Happy 1 year Anniversary to my children’s book “Dear You, Young Boy.” ❤️💙💛

Positive affirmations are more than just a trendy idea.
They contribute to a growth mindset and help form who your child believes they can be.

You are your child’s inner dialogue.
This means they are going to believe what you have to say about them.
If you say they are big, strong, and amazing, then they are going to believe just that !

I created the Dear You, I Dare You coloring book so that WE could inspire through creativity right inside the home!
Yes we send our kids off to school everyday to be taught by professionals. However , it also our jobs to take the responsibility within our home to educate and inspire our youth.

Coloring is a multipurpose activity. It has benefits such as:
✨Stimulating Creativity
✨Encourages Self-Expression
✨Helps Develop Focus

Additionally , inside the coloring book there are activities for your little one to list out and go after their biggest dreams!. Sit down and help them vocalize what it is they want out of their life.
