Rockets During Eid Prayer

On July 20, 2021, several rockets landed near Afghanistan’s Presidential Palace in Kabul while President Ashraf Ghani and government officials were attending Eid al-Adha prayers.

Explosions could be heard during the prayer, but Ghani and the other worshippers remained in formation and continued praying.

ISIS-K later claimed responsibility for the attack, while the Taliban denied involvement. No fatalities were reported.

Why Do Finnish Babies Sleep Outside?

In Finland, seeing a baby sleeping outdoors during winter isn't unusual. In fact, it's a long-standing childcare tradition in parts of the country.

One study in Oulu found that around 95% of surveyed parents had let their children sleep outside. Some parents started the practice when their babies were only a few weeks old.

And here's the surprising part: parents reported that their babies often slept longer outdoors. But that doesn't mean cold air has been proven to make babies healthier or kill more germs. The practice is mainly rooted in Nordic childcare culture, with parents carefully considering temperature, clothing, shelter, and the baby's condition.

He Spent 5 Years Living in a Pond

Sixteen-year-old Iqbal Sheikh from Murshidabad, India, has reportedly spent days at a time in different ponds for nearly five years. Locals say he sometimes stays in the water for 4–5 days straight, with reports of him remaining there for as long as seven days. Source (The Times of India)

Iqbal says he experiences an intense burning sensation whenever he gets out of the water, and that the discomfort eases once he gets back in. He has reportedly stayed in the ponds day and night during these periods. However, available reports do not explain how he sleeps or how he manages to sleep while staying in the water.

The exact medical cause remains unconfirmed. His prolonged exposure to the water has reportedly left parts of his skin pale, while his family has struggled financially to obtain further medical care.

$2.2 Million Bridge Collapses During Its Inauguration!

A bridge in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, suddenly collapsed during its inauguration ceremony in 2022. In the footage, several officials were still standing on the bridge when the structure gave way.

The $2.2 million price tag and alleged connection to President Félix Tshisekedi’s family were attributed to Africa Today Media Group in November 2025. However, those claims have not been independently verified.

AFP’s reporting on the original incident linked the bridge to a local organization called DJCEP. So while the bridge collapse itself is confirmed, the $2.2 million figure and alleged family connection remain unverified claims.

To clarify, President Félix Tshisekedi was not the person who inaugurated the bridge. Local reports state that the ceremony was led by Hurlaine Badila, head of the DJCEP foundation associated with the project, alongside Gaston Ekwi, the head of Saya neighborhood, and other local officials and community figures. So, the footage does not show the Congolese president inaugurating the bridge before it collapsed.

The Mermaid Legend: The Myth Columbus Once Recorded

For centuries, mermaids have remained one of the world's most famous legends. These mysterious half-human, half-fish creatures have appeared in stories and traditions across different cultures.

Interestingly, the legend may have been influenced by real marine animals such as manatees and dugongs. From a distance, their bodies and movements near the surface can appear surprisingly human-like.

Even Christopher Columbus wrote in 1493 that he had seen three “mermaids” during his voyage. However, the creatures he encountered were most likely manatees, rather than mythical half-human beings.

Still, there is no scientific evidence that mermaids ever existed. Real encounters with unfamiliar marine animals may simply have helped create and preserve one of the world's most enduring sea legends.
