RECORDING TONIGHT! SO lucky to have MATT stepping in once again to help us discuss the Shudder exclusive ‘BAGHEAD’: Films of 2023. We’ll start with a mini review of ‘Furiosa’, get drinking with some gripes, then head into our Random Year Generator series, which drew 2023. Having exhausted 2023 movies last year, we found this an apt time to call in our horror and expert to give a first-time watch and help us unpack this 95-minute spooker.

This week, our Queensland/Victoria bloke Dave says g’day, cracks open some tinnies and Tim Tams, and takes us to the Melbourne Bojangles as seen in ‘Chopper’, our featured conversation for our ‘Films of 2000’ segment. We’ll give you some context, we’ll talk about where Eric Bana rose in Australian television before Hollywood saw this film and begged him to get shredded and work on American and British accents. Writer/Director Andrew Dominik (Blonde, Killing Them Softly, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford) lived with Mark “Chopper” Reade to prepare the script for filming, and holy cow. Rolling back to 1993, the boys spur up and take on TOMBSTONE. Which it turned out 2 of the 3 of them hadn't seen before. They touch on the fantastic cast and their performances, the subtle social commentary, the price of bullets and how this movie just works on every level. Guaranteed to hurt your ass less than a day's ride.
