When I was younger I would never just pick up a book and read. Who would do such a thing??
In school we were forced to read books that too me at that age were so uninteresting.
Tom Sawyer? Why read the book when I can just listen to the song. I mean duh.
About 17 years ago I was introduced to an entirely new way of thinking and it completely changed my trajectory.
Same Guy, Same Kid, just a different mindset.
Mindset is key my friends.
This book The Slight Edge is a book I've read that I highly recommend.
Here are some takeaways from this book.

Most people think success comes from one huge effort, but the truth? Itโs about compounding. Just like interest in a bank account, small, consistent actions add up over time to something unstoppable. Imagine if, every day, you just took one small step in the right directionโwhether itโs for your health, your mindset, or your finances. Those little steps, done consistently, have a way of multiplying.
Forget the setbacks that kept you from starting before. Today is always the best time to begin!
Success doesnโt ask how old you are or where you came from. It only cares about one thing: are you willing to take a step each day, no matter how small? And keep going even when you donโt see immediate results?
Start now. Build momentum. In a year, youโll look back and thank yourself for every small, โinsignificantโ action you took today. Thatโs the power of compoundingโyour future self will thank you.

Just like adding a small amount to a savings account regularly, doing small actions every day (even when they seem insignificant) compounds over time into something substantial.

Compounding requires regular inputโmissing days or stopping completely prevents growth, just like not consistently contributing to a bank account would.

The first part of the journey, progress might seem minimal, but over time, these compounded efforts begin to multiply, leading to extraordinary outcomes.
